Good Afternoon to you, darlings! I hope you're all staying warm during this chilly January. Lip Monthly is on the agenda for today and for those who are not familiar, Lip Monthly is a subscription service that sends you 4-5 FULL sized lip products to your door each month, for only $12.95/month or $155.95/year! Lips can truly make your whole face - the right shade can go a long way to make you "pop" and give you loads of confidence! Here is a peek at December's bag ~
I have yet to come across a red lipstick that I didn't like. This Mineral Lipstick from Cougar is in the shade "Sangria". The lipstick looks darker than how it appears on your lips, but nonetheless, it's gorgeous. I would consider the shade to be more of a ruby red, with a slight pink hue. I would recommend applying a bit of lip balm with primer before applying because the lipstick is not very creamy. It looks lovely, though and I would highly recommend it, especially as a winter shade.
This City Color Lip Gloss in the color "Trailblazer" is the perfect, golden, shimmery shine. When first applying, it is a bit sticky, but that fades as it settles onto your lips. The color is definitely vivid and rich. I feel as though it would be best suited for daytime or night time, if applied correctly. It would look nice on its own, but even better paired with lipstick.
Lip balm is great, but lip balm with a tint of color? Even better. Hibiskiss has a nice floral/sweet/candy smell that reminds me of spring time. The color tint is red and it even has a bit of shimmer added to it. It's very creamy and applies quite easily.
ChapStick products are my go-to for lip balms. I love to use ChapStick medicated, whether my lips are chapped or not, due to its moisturizing effects! I trust the brand, so I was eager to try out their lip scrub. Surprise! I loved it! You apply a small amount to wet lips in a circular motion and wipe clean with a damp cloth. It's best to finish off by applying some type of lip balm afterwards. It worked great for exfoliating!
