Hello, hello, hello! I hope you all were able to enjoy a lovely holiday with your families and friends.
Today I'm going to be telling you about some products I received from SpaRitual! For those who aren't familiar with the brand, SpaRitual is a company that sells beauty/skincare products which are healthy and vegan. In fact, here is a bit of information from their website, "Sparitual provides spa treatment products and resources to help you design and sustain a Slow Beauty Practice...We formulate our body care products with vegan ingredients from around the world, including many specially sourced and selected plant essences that are Certified Organic and Fair Trade. Our nail lacquers and nail care essentials are vegan and formulated without DBP, toulene, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin."
In this review, you'll find that I'll be speaking about the Infinitely Loving Body Lotion, Infinitely Loving Sugar Scrub, Protein Boost Nail Strengthening Treatment, Nail Buffer, Nail Polish (Amorous, Inspired, and Brazen), Lacquer Remover Cloths & Moisture Balm.
For starters, presentation is an A+ because I love the lavender colored containers. They have a feminine feel and I love the intricate design on the bottom of the lotion bottle, along with its "pump" top! Pumps are far more easier to use than unscrewing a lid and scooping the lotion out of the bottle. The scent, "Chinese Jasmine", is incredibly relaxing and reminds me of a spring afternoon. I always prefer lotions with scents because there's something about a nice smell that relaxes my mind and brings bliss. The consistency of the cream is thin, but it does absorb rather quickly and doesn't leave my skin oily. After soaking in, my skin immediately felt softer.
As far as the sugar scrub, it works terrifically. Exfoliating your skin is such a necessity if you're looking to keep it soft and smooth. The Infinitely Loving Sugar Scrub comes with a screw-off lid and there is even a small applicator/scoop inside so you don't have to put your fingers in the scrub. The texture is obviously grainy and you are supposed to apply it to damp skin, rub it in using a circular motion until the sugar has dissolved and rinse. The scent is "Chinese Jasmine", just as the lotion, so I found it to be very pleasant!
I decided to squeeze these three into one section, considering that they're smaller items. First of all, the moisture balm? It's like butter! It melts immediately onto my lips when applied and leaves them feeling soft. There isn't a scent and the color is clear. Do you know what the best part is? This moisture balm isn't just for lips! You can apply it to your hands, lips, feet - anywhere you have dry skin on your body.
The lacquer cloths are just as nice. I've never been one to use lacquer cloths, to be completely truthful. I normally just use nail polish remover and a cotton ball. After trying these out, I realized how much more convenient the cloths are! They're easy, mess-free and come in their own little, handy pouch. Perfect for your car or purse.
There isn't too much I can say about the Nail Buffer. It does its job and buffs my nails while leaving a nice shine.
I love nail polish (almost as much as I love red lipstick). I especially love healthy nail polish that is good for my body and hasn't been tested on animals. If you read the information I shared with you earlier, you'll find that SpaRitual's nail lacquers are vegan, as well as DBP, toulene, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin free. There were three polishes - Inspired (purple in color, creme polish), Brazen (red in color, creme polish), and Amorous (dark brown in color, shimmer polish). Inspired was favorite of the three because the shade reminds me of a plum purple, which is perfect for the winter season. Brazen was nice as well - this red shade almost reminds me of a very slight orange/red color combo (ever so slightly). Amorous is a lovely shimmer shade and would go well as a top layer for an accent nail. I would be careful, though, because the brown is quite dark and too much application might end up looking black.
The Protein Strengthening Treatment is great for brittle or weak nails. If you're someone who wears acrylic nails often or bites & picks your fingernails frequently, but wants to add life back into them, then this would be a good product for you. The protein helps to build strength in your nails, allowing them to become thicker, longer and healthier.
Overall, I loved these products from SpaRitual, as well as their message. It truly is better to find companies that make vegan and cruelty free products, not just because they're better for you, but better for the Earth as well. I hope you get to check out their website and find a few things that you like. Enjoy your weekend, darlings!
