Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well today. Today I will be reviewing the 36-ct. Semi-Jumbo Oil Pastels from Really Good Stuff! I really like them and I've decided to give them 5 stars.
For starters, as you can see, there are so many different colors to choose from! The different color combinations you can use/come up with is endless! They come in a handy plastic tray for keeping while you're not using them. They actually blend really well - in order to blend colors together nicely you do have to build it up a little bit. The colors are very vibrant and can create a very beautiful and stunning piece of artwork.
Aside from blending very well, they also layer very well too. You're able to create highlights and shadows with ease. I like the fact that the pastels are large so you're able to have a nice grip on them while you draw/color. Although, I did notice that I have to keep them somewhat sharp and to a kind of point rather than just letting them turn completely round because it's hard to draw straight lines once you let them become round at the top.
I would not suggest taking your finger and trying to smudge the colors because it doesn't look very nice. I tried it and it didn't turn out very sucessful so I do not recommend it.
Overall, these pastels are vibrant, beautiful and create smooth lines. They're perfect for schools, art classes, artists, etc. They would make a lovely gift for anyone who likes to color or draw. They're afforadable too!
If you would like to purchase these pastels for yourself or someone in your life, you can do so here. Enjoy!
I received these pastels for free in exchange for my honest review.
