Piping Rock Essential Oils

Hey y'all! Sorry I haven't written a review in a few days..it's been really crazy around here! Anyways, I just recently tested Piping Rock Essential Oils that I recieved for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. My opinion is my own and it has not been influced in any way. That being said, I requested the Calming Oil and the Energy Oil. You can purchase these oils on their website for $5.99 (Calming Oil) and $7.99 (Energy Oil). I have tested out both of these and I give these products 4 stars.

Now, I normally use an oil diffuser for essential oils because I feel it's the best way to really inhale the fragrance. But I decided to switch it up a bit and I used the calming oil in my bath (Under "directions" on the bottle they suggest to either put a few drops in a bath or use for a massage) I added a few drops and the bath was wonderful..at first. About half way through, my body started to sting really badly and I didn't understand why at first - granted, this was the first time I had used essential oils in a bath. So I drained the tub and stood under cold running water for awhile until the stinging subsided. I did a little research and apparently, if you have sensitive skin, stinging can occur if you use essential oils in a bath. So I was obviously a little disappointed but it's not Piping Rock's fault that I have sensitive skin and they do warn you on the label, which I read before using their product, but since I have used essential oils in the past without problems, I did not think that it applied to me - lesson learned, always be cautious. The Calming Oil has a very nice citrus smell - as it contains Orange Oil and Tangerine Oil. I did enjoy the smell.

When I tested the Energy Oil, I did use it in my oil diffuser and it worked very well! I did feel energized and refreshed and I very much enjoyed the scent. This essential oil contains Rosemary Oil, Juniper Berry Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Nutmeg Oil, Clove Oil, and many others. But they all combine to create an Indian Spice type of smell - it's very lovely. I loved this oil and I do not have any complaints! I used it in the morning and it made me feel more awake and energized.

These oils come in 0.51 fl. oz. bottles with a screw cap - their size makes them very convenient for travel. They also warn you to NOT use the oils DIRECTLY ON SKIN. Overall, I give Piping Rock 4 stars because of the stinging I endured in the bath - but I do enjoy the Calming Oil, it does work and I did feel very relaxed at first so I will continue to use this but I will put it in my oil diffuser next time and I very much enjoyed the Energy Oil.
